DIET: Grasses, shrubs, bark, roots and stems.
NOTES: The Zebra is the horse of the savanna it looks like a horse, only smaller. They weigh 500-600 pounds their black and white stripes may look similar but every zebra’s stripe pattern is different. The zebra lives in close knit groups called families led by a single male. Everybody relies on each other to look out for danger and help those in trouble, they can live for up to 28 years. Females are mature at about 3 years, males a bit longer. They have one offspring at a time, gestation is 11-12 months.
