NOTES: Thomson’s gazelles are the most common gazelles in East Africa. It is one of the 10 fastest animals in the world, and can get up to speeds of 96 km/hour. They use this speed to escape predators as they are one of the smallest antelope and they are targeted by a lot of predators. The males are territorial and have long ringed horns, while the females are non-territorial and have short smooth horns or no horns at all. They use a characteristic leap, used to startle predators and display strength.
