Babies, Babies, Babies @ Pafos Zoo
Although Spring has long past us by, here at the Zoo we are still working hard overseeing the birth of new babies just 2 weeks ago we welcomed the arrival of our first every baby Mandrill Monkey who is very cute (picture above). The keeper will continue to monitor it ensuring that it’s feeding correctly from the mother and its warm at night as the temperature starts to drop here.
We hope this to be the first of many baby Mandrill’s as the Parents have only just reach maturity.
It’s not just the Monkey keepers looking after babies, the Zoo curator has been very busy over the last 8 months hand rearing Mercedes a female Red Kangaroo that was rejected by its mother he has worked very hard night and day feeding and cleaning her and we hope the hard work will pay off and we can reintroduce her to our Kangaroo troop.
